We met in a different room for our classes today for security reasons. |

Our first speaker was Tsutomu Kimura, President of the National Institution for Academic Degrees. He discussed Japanese education with us, very frankly and openly. |

Next, Masaya Miyoshi, Senior Counselor or Keidanren, discussed Japan's economic situation and plans for stabilization. |
|
|
|
We were treated to a lovely buffet luncheon. We ALL feel like we have gained a gazillion pounds since the trip started! |

Masaya Miyoshi returns to talk about Japanese government. He very graciously accepted this assignment,since the scheduled Representatives were called back to a special session of the Diet. |

A representative from the International Foundation for Promotion of Foreign Language and Culture presented us with three books written by the late Kenji Miyazawa. They are a lovely gift! |
